Can you believe that 2014 is nearly over? It seems like the months flew past!


With another year coming to a close, I want to send out a heartfelt thank you to all of the people that have helped support my little crafting business this year. I've enjoyed visiting with all of you when you stopped by my booth at the many farmers markets, street fairs, and festivals this year. I've also enjoyed your friendly e-mails. Shop Updates

Hello!

     I just realized that I didn't update this blog all summer-- sorry about that! In my defense, I spent the summer selling at local farmers markets and festivals several days a week. I also picked up a 2nd part time job. The past few months have been incredibly busy, but they've also been constructive. I'm happy to report that I had my best market season since I opened my little crafting business in 2012. Yea!

     September 1st marked the official 2 year anniversary of Reprieve's Corner. My little business has had it's ups and downs over the last 24 months, but I've learned a lot along the way. I love the creative freedom that my little business provides. I also enjoy having the opportunity to meet other crafters, small business owners, and create types both online and face to face at different markets. I'm looking forward to my third year in business.

     This week marks the official end of the 2014 farmers market season. I have one more outdoor market scheduled. This Wednesday will be the final Coos Bay Farmers Market. Unfortunately, we've had a lot of early winter storms and rainy weather here on the Oregon coast over the past few weeks. Cross your fingers that we get a break in the bad weather in order to enjoy our last market!

    With the farmers markets just about over, I've been lining up indoors markets and holiday craft fairs for the rainy winter months. I'll update this blog with more details as I finalize my plans.

     I've also been hard at work on a new batch of jewelry. I'm trying to build up my inventory before the holiday shopping season. I'll be photographing and listing the new jewelry over the next few days. Please, feel free to check it out.

The 2014 Market Season

The 2014 Farmers Market season is almost here. Woo-hoo! 

I've been working hard on lining up shows and figuring out my schedule this year. This is what I've got so far:

The Coquille Farmers Market is under new management this year. It'll still be held on Thursdays at the Community Center, but many of the vendors will be setting up inside (in the small auditorium). The market begins this week. The hours have also changed. We'll be setting up at 10 am and open to the public from 11-3.

A different group has formed a new Saturday market in Coquille this year. It's being called the Coquille Valley Farmers Market. I'm still looking into the details. I believe the market opens next Saturday.

Finally, I will be returning to the Coos Bay Farmers Market. We'll be selling on Central Avenue on Wednesdays beginning in May. 

I will not be selling at the Bandon Old Town Marketplace this year.

I'm excited about the new season and I look forward to seeing everyone-- both shoppers and fellow vendors-- again soon. I'll be selling my usual combination of hand made crafts and autographed books.
